Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the U.S.-brokered “energy ceasefire,” but warned Monday that Moscow must do the same.
If Russia doesn’t agree to the energy ceasefire announced by President Donald Trump on Sunday, Ukraine will respond, Zelenskyy said in a live-streamed address Monday morning.
“If the Americans need it, we are ready to sign these guarantees to make sure they can be trusted, and it’s important that we all see this situation in the same way,” he said.
It comes after Zelenskyy lamented that “Ukrainian skies have been infested with Russian ‘shaheds’ all day today,” in a statement Sunday evening local time.
