Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the first teaser of the upcoming Hilux facelift ahead of its India debut on July 28, 2026. While the short teaser does not reveal the pickup truck in full, it offers a glimpse of the redesigned front fascia.The teaser shows the new Hilux with a larger front grille flanked by slimmer LED headlamps. Replacing the traditional Toyota emblem is a ‘TOYOTA’ lettering across the grille. The new model is also expected to feature a redesigned front bumper with a skid plate, fresh alloy wheel designs and updated tail lamps with C-shaped LED lighting elements.Inside, the cabin is likely to receive a significant upgrade in terms of technology and perceived quality. The new Hilux is expected to feature dual 12.3-inch displays, including a fully digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. Other expected additions include a new three-spoke steering wheel, an all-black interior theme, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless phone charging, connected car technology and a 360-degree camera. Toyota is also expected to retain physical controls for climate settings and off-road functions. Under the hood, the pickup is expected to continue with the familiar 2.8-litre diesel engine producing around 204 PS and 500 Nm of torque. Transmission choices are likely to include both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes. Safety is expected to receive a boost with a more comprehensive ADAS package that could include features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking. Standard safety equipment is also expected to include six airbags, electronic stability control and hill-assist systems.
