Gone in six minutes! Skoda Kodiaq RS sold out in India

Skoda Auto India commenced bookings for the new Kodiaq RS yesterday, June 23, 2026. The limited-run performance SUV quickly attracted strong interest from enthusiasts across the country. And now, the company has announced that all 50 units allocated for India were sold out in just six minutes of bookings opening. With all 50 units now sold out, it remains to be seen whether Skoda Auto India will allocate additional units of the Kodiaq RS for the Indian market.

Skoda will import the performance SUV as a completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to be priced between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Skoda Kodiaq RS will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces 265hp and 400Nm of torque. Compared to the regular Kodiaq, the RS delivers an additional 60hp and 80Nm of torque. Notably, the engine is tuned identically to the unit powering the Octavia RS and Golf GTI. It comes paired with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels. The Kodiaq RS also benefits from upgraded braking components, including slotted brake discs and twin-piston front callipers. However, it remains unclear whether the India-spec model will receive adaptive suspension, a feature that is currently offered on international versions of the performance SUV. The Kodiaq RS retains the standard model’s three-row layout and overall silhouette but adds several RS-specific styling cues. These include a gloss-black grille, Matrix LED headlamps, a revised front bumper with larger air intakes, RS badging, blacked-out exterior elements, red brake callipers and larger alloy wheels of up to 20 inches in overseas markets. At the rear, the SUV features RS badging, a redesigned bumper with black inserts, connected LED tail-lamps with a smoked trim piece, a roof spoiler and black roof rails. International markets also get exclusive colours such as Hyper Green, although India-specific paint options are yet to be announced. Inside, the cabin largely mirrors the standard Kodiaq but gains sport seats with integrated headrests, leather and suede-like upholstery, red contrast stitching and RS branding throughout the interior.Expected features include a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 13-speaker Canton audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered tailgate, 360-degree camera, park assist, powered driver’s seat with memory function, heated front seats, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, keyless entry and a panoramic sunroof. Safety equipment is expected to include nine airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic differential lock, brake assist, hill start assist, hill descent control, ISOFIX mounts and Level 2 ADAS.
