India to present 37 deep-tech ventures at Brics forum

NEW DELHI: A cervical cancer screening system that assesses risks in under 60 seconds and an electric motor that does away with rare-earth materials will be among Indian innovations showcased to Brics leaders this week.Thirty-seven deep-tech ventures are participating in the two-day Brics Bharat Innovates Exposition. Among them is Periwinkle Technologies’ AI-enabled cervical cancer screening and triage platform, which provides a risk assessment in under a minute. Janitri Innovations is bringing an AI system that monitors mothers and foetuses for clinical risks, while Niramai has developed radiation-free thermal imaging for early breast cancer screening.Chara Technologies will showcase rare-earth-free electric powertrains. QpiAI’s quantum computing systems ra-nge from an eight-qubit machine for education and research to its 64-qubit Kaveri processor.Space technologies include Dhruva Space’s small-satellite platforms and GalaxEye’s Drishti, which combines radar and optical sensors to produce all-weather earth imagery. Other innovations tackle industrial problems: AI-based fruit grading, robotic warehouse sorting, real-time earthquake warning, pipeline inspection and carbon capture.
