NEW DELHI: India reiterated at the UN that as long as the veto power exists in the Security Council, it must be held by all permanent members of a reformed council and not just the current countries. While the veto issue may arise only in case of any new permanent member that may be admitted, India’s position always has been that there should be no discrimination in the Security Council and also no second class of permanent members without veto.
